Volunteer Interpreter Training: Help the UB Law Clinics serve the community!

Hola

The University of Baltimore Clinical Programs provide free legal representation to underserved members of the Baltimore and greater Maryland community. The clinics provide pro bono representation in immigration, housing, family, veterans’ issues, and many other areas of law. Some of our clients are Limited English Proficient, meaning that interpreters are needed to facilitate our representation.

If you are multilingual and are willing to serve as a volunteer interpreter for the clinics, please join us for a one-hour training on interpretation on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 12:151:15 p.m. at the Law School (1401 N. Charles) in Room 209. Lunch will be provided! Participants will then be added to our list and contacted as the need for interpretation arises.

Please RSVP for the training by noon on Wednesday, Sept. 11, so we have an accurate count for lunch. Questions and RSVP should be sent to Nickole Miller at nmiller2@ubalt.edu.
