Help the UB Clinical Programs serve the community!
The Law Clinic will offer Volunteer Interpreter Training on 9/5/18 @ 12:15pm.
The University of Baltimore Clinical Programs provide legal representation to underserved members of the Baltimore and greater Maryland community. The clinics provide pro bono representation in Immigration, Housing, Family, Veteran’s and other Public Benefits, Employment, Nonprofit, Small Business, Mediation, Criminal, and many other areas of law. Some of our clients are Limited English Proficient (LEP), meaning that interpreters are needed to facilitate our representation.
If you are multilingual and are willing to serve as a volunteer interpreter for the Clinics, please join us for a one-hour training on interpretation on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 12:15 – 1:15 p.m. at the Law School (1401 N. Charles St.) in Room 209. Lunch will be provided! Participants will then be added to our list and contacted as the need for interpretation arises. If you have any questions or would like to RSVP for the training, please e-mail Nickole Miller at email@example.com.
Please RSVP by 9/4 at noon so we know how much lunch to order.
