Immigrant Rights Clinic student attorneys train Johns Hopkins University doctors

On April 27, 2018, student attorneys  (Lokesh Chhantyal, Ninia Ogbuji, Bryana Spann, Kurt Wonilowicz) in the Immigrant Rights Clinic at the University of Baltimore School of Law trained approximately twenty doctors at Johns Hopkins on immigration hot topics and patients’ rights. The students discussed how recent changes to immigration policies and enforcement impact medical patients and hospitals. Additionally, the students empowered the doctors to spot immigration red flags and make effective referrals to local legal services organizations.
